N\u011bkter\u00e9 z\u00a0t\u011bchto konflikt\u016f ot\u0159\u00e1sly z\u00fa\u010dastn\u011bn\u00fdmi stranami do takov\u00e9 m\u00edry, \u017ee si dodnes s sebou nesou p\u00e1liv\u00e9 jizvy.<\/p>\n
Jedn\u011bmi z t\u011bchto v\u00e1lek jsou \u00a0i “V\u00e1lky na Balk\u00e1n\u011b”. Z\u00fa\u010dastn\u011bn\u00e9 n\u00e1rody si st\u00e1le pamatuj\u00ed bolest a utrpen\u00ed sv\u00e9ho lidu, a p\u0159esto\u017ee m\u00edr mezi zem\u011bmi byl nastolen a st\u00e1le je v procesu obnovy, (zat\u00edmco obvin\u011bn\u00ed jsou je\u0161t\u011b po\u0159\u00e1d st\u00edh\u00e1ni za sv\u00e9 zlo\u010diny proti lidskosti), k\u00a0vypo\u0159\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed se se ztr\u00e1tami, kter\u00e9 tyto v\u00e1lky lidem p\u0159inesly, vede st\u00e1le dlouh\u00e1 cesta.<\/p>\n

Ji\u0159\u00ed), rozb\u011bhli doprost\u0159ed parketu, objali se v kruhu a z\u00a0pln\u00fdch plic si spole\u010dn\u011b zazp\u00edvali. A\u010dkoli m\u00e1 p\u00edse\u0148 ko\u0159eny ve 2. sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lce a skr\u00fdv\u00e1 temnou historii, jej\u00ed modern\u00ed verze si z\u00edskala velkou popularitu.<\/p>\n
Zp\u00edv\u00e1 se v\u00a0n\u00ed o slovansk\u00fdch n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch sv\u00e1tc\u00edch a z\u00e1rmutku z\u00a0odlou\u010den\u00ed od t\u011bch, kter\u00e9 milujeme. Ale mo\u017en\u00e1 je v\u00a0n\u00ed mnohem v\u00edc, mo\u017en\u00e1 v sob\u011b nese s\u00edlu sjednotit, p\u0159en\u00e9st se p\u0159es bolestivou minulost, s\u00edlu uzdravit a za\u017eehnout jiskru budouc\u00edho, opravdov\u00e9ho sm\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed. Ur\u010dit\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem tato skladba rezonuje s\u00a0ka\u017ed\u00fdm. Our world has seen many horrors and tragedies, deeply rooted in hatred, caused by the inability to see beyond our own borders, culture, skin color, religion, interests. These wars, fueled by hate, shook the involved to a point where a lot of wounds are still sore to this day. Some of these wars are certainly the \u201cWars in the Balkans\u201d. Those nations still remember the pain and the suffering of their people, and although the peace between countries has and still is in the process of being restored, while the involved are still being prosecuted for their crimes against humanity, there is still a long way to go regarding the toll these wars took on the people. Although the younger generations never witnessed the tragedies first hand, the atmosphere in their countries is still marked by the past. That is why it was so beautiful for me to witness the moment of pure peace, one might even say \u201cbrotherly love\u201d, at this year\u2019s Megavikend. There were participants from Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia attending the event and on the evening of the party, in a moment when a famous song by a Bosnian band Bijelo dugme called \u0110ur\u0111evdan (St. George\u2019s day) started playing, they all came running to the center of the dance floor, hugged one another in a circle and sang their hearts out. Although the song roots to a time of World War II and it has a dark history, the modern version is very popular amongst the Balkan nations. But it\u2019s actually more than that, it has a power of uniting, of briefly forgetting the haunting past, it has the power of healing or at least causing a spark of peace. The song is about a Slavic religious holiday and the heartache of being apart from the one you love. Somehow this song resonates with everyone and within that moment of joy and sadness, they found a way to let go, even if just for a moment. That\u2019s what giving peace a chance is all about, that\u2019s how cultures can connect, understand each other, through instants of love and joy, through instants of living in a moment.
