It is completely by \u201eaccident\u201c that I came across, of what is to be one of the best choices and greatest adventures of my 24 years on this planet. I\u2019m currently finishing my Masters in Marital and family therapy and I have decided, since my time as a college student is nearing its end, that I will take a walk out of my comfort zone and in to the beautiful world, which one can only truly experience by doing so. I searched for organizations that deal with youth and quickly realized that this is the one for me. I strongly believe that by exploring the world we are not only getting to know each other but ourselves as well, and that&#8217;s how we build our &#8220;citizens of the world&#8221; identities, where there is no such thing as us and them, but only us, people of the world, working for the greater good of all. That is why AFS program is so important, because it is in a sense &#8220;erasing borders&#8221; and emphasizing the importance of what unites rather than what divides us. So now I\u00b4m here, working and living in Prague, on a 5-month long internship. It is truly amazing to be able to see and contribute to all the hard work that goes into making this wonderful experience possible for so many students all around the world, but the absolute best and most rewarding part of it all is the satisfying moment when you realize you are the part of \u201ethe change you want to see in the world\u201c &#8211; making the world a more tolerant, accepting and friendly place.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Vita Cafnik<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>P\u0159elo\u017eeno z anglick\u00e9ho origin\u00e1lu:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>M\u016fj AFS p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh za\u010dal jinak, ne\u017e za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 v\u011bt\u0161ina p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh\u016f. Je to \u00fapln\u00e1 n\u00e1hoda, \u017ee to, co se se mnou d\u011bje, je jedn\u00edm z nejlep\u0161\u00edch rozhodnut\u00ed a nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch dobrodru\u017estv\u00ed za m\u00fdch 24 let na t\u00e9to planet\u011b. V sou\u010dasn\u00e9 dob\u011b dokon\u010duji sv\u00e9 magistersk\u00e9 studium v oboru man\u017eelsk\u00e9 a rodinn\u00e9 terapie. Rozhodla jsem se, \u017ee od t\u00e9to doby, kdy u\u017e se m\u016fj \u010das vysoko\u0161kolsk\u00e9ho studenta bl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed ke konci, vyjdu ze sv\u00e9 komfortn\u00ed z\u00f3ny do kr\u00e1sn\u00e9ho sv\u011bta, kter\u00fd m\u016f\u017eu poznat jen tak, jak to te\u010f pr\u00e1v\u011b d\u011bl\u00e1m. Hledala jsem organizace, kter\u00e9 se zab\u00fdvaj\u00ed ml\u00e1de\u017e\u00ed, a rychle jsem se rozhodla, \u017ee tohle je ta pro m\u011b. Pevn\u011b v\u011b\u0159\u00edm, \u017ee pozn\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00edm sv\u011bta se nejen pozn\u00e1v\u00e1me navz\u00e1jem, ale pozn\u00e1v\u00e1me i sami sebe, a tak si stav\u00edme na\u0161e identity &#8220;ob\u010dan\u016f sv\u011bta&#8221;, kde neexistuje \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 takov\u00e1 v\u011bc jako my a oni, ale jen my, lidi sv\u011bta, pracuj\u00edc\u00ed pro v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed dobro v\u0161ech. To je d\u016fvod, pro\u010d je program AFS tak d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fd, tak\u00e9 proto\u017ee v jist\u00e9m smyslu &#8220;vymaz\u00e1v\u00e1 hranice&#8221; a zd\u016fraz\u0148uje d\u016fle\u017eitosti toho, co n\u00e1s spojuje, ne\u017eli toho, co n\u00e1s rozd\u011bluje.<br \/>\nTak\u017ee te\u010f jsem tady, pracuji a \u017eiji v Praze na p\u011btim\u011bs\u00ed\u010dn\u00ed st\u00e1\u017ei. Je opravdu \u00fa\u017easn\u00e9 vid\u011bt a pod\u00edlet se na ve\u0161ker\u00e9 n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9 pr\u00e1ci, kter\u00e1 vede k tomu, aby byla takov\u00e1 p\u0159ekr\u00e1sn\u00e1 zku\u0161enost mo\u017en\u00e1 pro tolik student\u016f po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b.
